Epidural Adhesiolysis: Minimally Invasive Spine Pain Relief
About the Therapy
Epidural adhesiolysis, or the Racz Procedure, is a minimally invasive treatment for chronic back pain caused by adhesions and scar tissue in the epidural space. Developed by Dr. Gabor Racz in 1989, it targets and breaks down fibrous tissue directly at the pain-causing areas, providing lasting relief.
A catheter is inserted into the epidural space to deliver local anesthetic and steroid injections directly to the affected area, reducing pain and inflammation. This procedure is effective for conditions like Failed Back Surgery Syndrome (FBSS), spinal stenosis, and radiculopathy.
